About the

Jan Sobieski String Quartet  

Chicago-based Jan Sobieski String Quartet has performed together in some form since 2007 with our first concert at Faith Lutheran Church in Antioch, IL performing Haydn’s Seven Last Words of Christ.  We perform a yearly concert series, including a 2017 performance at the Friends of Oakbrook Public Library Concert Series performing Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence.

2021 marks the first performances since 2011 of the original quartet members. The members of JSSQ are Anna Gillan and Robin Sackschewsky violins, Nathan Sackschewsky viola, and Daniel Beder cello.  The members of JSSQ are string teachers and musicians in the Chicago Suburbs. JSSQ members frequently performs for weddings and other special events throughout the year.
